Saturday, Nov 22

Got up bright and early to drive an hour to Mt. Rose. There was only one run open, but wait time wasn’t too long, never over 10 minutes. Took a couple of rough falls, and only did about seven runs. Stopped for lunch at the lodge, and bought some chili ($13). For some reason ski resort chili is always super bomb. Got gas on the way back, and stopped for a bathroom break. I was waiting for the bathroom, and then this guy comes out and holds the door open for me and then I go in the stall and he didn’t flush. Crazy power move. Then we stopped for some AYCE bbq on the way back, which is always a nice treat.

I went to a local winery with my family, and then visited a Miffy pop up store nearby.

Monday, Nov 24

I got dinner with my dad, but when I got home, my mom was feeling really unwell so I had to take her to the ER. This was the first time I’ve ever had to do anything like that so it was a pretty scary experience.

Tuesday, Nov 25

Picked my mom up at the ER at like 7pm even though she was ready to be discharged at 3. They never even figured out what happened but it seems like she’s fine now

Wednesday, Nov 26

Played pickleball ($22) with some friends, but it was really cold and the condensation made the courts a bit slippery so it wasn’t super fun. Got some ramen after, and it ended up being like $70 for my boyfriend and I. Also picked up some boba for family ($23.70) since I knew nowhere would be open tomorrow.

Thursday, Nov 27

It’s Thanksgiving! Everyone in my family made a dish. I made a potato leek soup!

Friday, Nov 28

I went climbing in the morning with my boyfriend. I did a couple of V3s, so I was pretty happy! Then we got lunch at a Peruvian place, and then some matcha ($14.38). We walked aorund a park for a bit, and then went home. Didn’t go Black Friday shopping, which was actually a blessing in disguise because there ended up being a shooting at my local mall… This world just keeps getting crazier and crazier :/

Saturday, Nov 29

Did nothing during the daytime, but then went over to my friend’s place for Friendsgiving. We ate and yapped, and then watched the Thanksgiving episode of Gossip Girl. My friend’s boyfriend even came out to watch it, even though he’s never even heard of Gossip Girl and didn’t know who Blake Lively is.

I didn’t spend that much this week, but mostly because I didn’t eat out and when I did my family paid for it lol. Stressful week emotionally but good week for my wallet.

It was a Friday so work was pretty chill today. I got Thai food with my boyfriend for dinner, which was $76.30 for the two of us. You know what, I’m going to start documenting how much I’m spending each day as well. After that, we went to go see Tame Impala! It was in Oakland and I live in south bay, so we took the took the Bart there ($7.25). Also bought a bottle of water there, which was $11.32. Highway robbery, but a girl’s gotta stay hydrated. The show was great and I enjoyed it even though I didn’t know a lot of the songs and mostly tagged along because my boyfriend really wanted to see them. Barted back ($7.25) and got home at a little past midnight, which isn’t too bad, but my old ass gets tired after 11pm now lol.

The weather was looking pretty gloomy outside, and I wanted to get some exercise so my friends and I decided to go to our local pickleball club. It’s $40 to play all day, but there are no re-entry priviliges, so I bought lunch too ($15). We played for about four hours, then decided to go get dinner. We ate at this Chinese place my friend suggested, and it was $70 for my boyfriend and I. Just now realizing that I paid for two meals in a row smh. After that I went to get some boba, which cost about $6.50, then went home, took an edible and marinated in my bed for the rest of the night.

I went climbing with my boyfriend, and then we got dinner. I was a little bit (unreasonably) upset at him for something really stupid, but we talked it out. Really thankful to have someone who is okay with my not always logical feelings!

Tuesday Nov 18, 2025

I played pickleball today, but outdoors so it wasn’t nearly as expensive. A court runs around $22 for two hours. I usually front it and sometimes randomly, my friends will pay me $5 for it but not today. After pickleball, we went to Chipotle ($33.12 for my boyfriend and I) and yapped for another two hours.

Went to go snowboarding in Tahoe today! I bought some bagels and a coffee before I left ($13.90), and drove my boyfriend and two of his friends to Tahoe, and we got Chik-fil-a on the way ($31.64 for my boyfriend and I). I think I left at around 3 or 3:30 and we ended up getting there at like 9pm. We stayed in a place right next to Heavenly, but since they weren’t open we were prepared to drive up to Mt Rose the next day instead. Kinda sucked because we had Epic passes, but paid $119 for a lift pass at Mt. Rose.

I spent quite a bit this week, but also did more acitivities that I don’t usually do, so it makes sense. Still less than an average of $100 a day… but honestly I’m not sure what counts as a lot of money spent at this age.

So I decided to pick up blogging, even though I was never really interested in it before, and it seems like I’ve missed the peak early 2000’s and 2010’s blogging phase. I signed up for WordPress today, and it turns out I already had an account by the name of animalcrossingrulez which I created in 2009. I’m choosing to keep it even though it’s lame because that was a much simpler time and I think it’s kind of cute. I want to try to make blog posts weekly and hold myself accountable to this. Hoping to find some sort of online community here as well! Actually super bummed I missed the Heyday of blogs like Livejournal and Tumblr but hopefully I can find something a little similar here. I’m someone who usually has big ideas and wants to start many things, but can never see them through or finish it. So I’m hoping that I can at least keep up blogging for the month of December, and hopefully all of 2026!
